HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

The Morrison Communities, a senior living healthcare community consisting of independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term, and skilled nursing care, is currently seeking the right candidate to fill the position of Human Resource Manager.  As a 5-star Nursing Home we are looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to assist us in making the needs of our employees as important as the needs of our residents.

The Human Resource Manager handles a broad scope of HR functions and works collaboratively with our management team.  This position is the primary point of contact in employee relations, staffing, management practices, policy, and procedure development.

The right candidate will have strong leadership, coaching and team building skills with the ability to gain alliance with management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.  Essential duties include providing consultation on employee issues relating to conduct and performance, recruitment, retention, staffing and employee orientation, employee relations, benefit administration including WC and FMLA, personnel development and training, regulatory compliance relative to personnel, safety practices and OSHA Compliance, and overseeing the full payroll process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field is preferred.
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CHHR) is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources role.  Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines; including leadership coaching, workforce planning, employee relations, training, performance management and federal & state employment laws.
  • Proven interpersonal, conflict management, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Natural ability to build credibility with and influence cross functional partners to achieve goals, maximize resources and drive results through people.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Excellent analytic, problem solving and coaching skills.
  • Well versed in HR best practices and trends in performance management and engagement.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
