Community is Bigger Than Self – 2025 Spring Newsletter

2025 Spring Newsletter

Spring has finally arrived to the North Country and The Morrison Communities is celebrating by recognizing the great diversity and strength of our community! It take a village to care for others, and it takes each individual  to create something larger than ourselves.

Spring is filled with little moments of joy – the first touch of warm sun, the hopeful green tufts of new grass, the early morning birdsong in the lilac bushes – each piece adds up to create a unique and much needed change from the monotony of winter. As the daffodils wake, so does our community!

We are gearing up for a busy and fun summer at both our campuses. Fresh paint, budding gardens, and reinstatement of outdoor furniture mirrors the fresh breezes and popping trees. And despite all the new, exciting things on the horizon for Summer, we are taking time to reflect. The period of early Spring in New Hampshire feels an awful lot like winter. The cold air, the browns and greys, the lingering hibernation in our bones – but there is beauty, too. In February, we celebrate love in all its forms on Valentine’s Day. Then in March, we use St. Patrick’s Day to experience traditions in luck and neighborliness. Finally, in April we welcome new beginnings with Easter and family. In this edition of the newsletter, we look back at these moments and also celebrate how giving of the self is an important and rewarding way to build community.

This newsletter also looks forward! May brings National Skilling Nursing Week, recognizing our amazing staff and residents. We’ll also be hosting an Open house at our Summit campus on Saturday, May 24th! In June, The Morrison Communities will be participating in NH Gives from 5pm June 10th through 5pm June 11th. And all summer long we will be partying on the holidays, basking in the good weather, and going on adventures in our North Country community!

So, take a break from the busy rush of Spring to catch up on our community news and find out what your favorite residents have been up to!
