Connection Makes Life Shine Brighter – 2025 Summer Newsletter

Connection Makes Life Shine Brighter

At The Morrison Communities, we believe that life is richer and brighter when it’s filled with meaningful connections. This summer was no exception – our residents, families, staff, and volunteers came together for memorable moments that brought joy, laughter, and community spirit to both our campuses.

From May through July, our summer calendars were filled with activities that highlighted the heart of our community. Residents enjoyed patriotic gatherings, nature-based programs, live entertainment, and opportunities to simply enjoy one another’s company. Each smile, shared story, and warm conversation reminded us that connection with what truly makes life shine!

Summer Highlights

  • A Trip to Santa’s Village – Residents and staff shared a magical day of rides, laughter, and sweet treats at this beloved Coos landmark.
  • National Skilled Nursing Care Week – We honored the dedication of our care team and the diversity of our residents with special activities and celebrations throughout this annual week of appreciation.
  • Farm Animal Visits – joyful moments filled our halls as residents spent time with visiting animals, demonstrating the therapeutic human/animal bond.

Looking Ahead to Fall

As summer turns to autumn, we’re looking forward to even more opportunities to celebrate community:

  • Summit’s Annual Fall Festival – a favorite traditional featuring seasonal fun and time with family for our Summit campus.
  • National Assisted Living Week – a week dedicated to celebrating the residents, staff, and families of our Assisted Living communities.

Connection in senior living also includes building constructive relationships between residents and staff.
