NEW BOOKS READ BY THE DYNAMIC DUO!

Independent Living Residents Read to Lakeway Elementary Students

Independent living residents, The Kirks, are ready to read to Lakeway Elementary children

We are delighted to bring you Jan and George Kirk–two of the extraordinary independent living residents here at Summit by Morrison. Jan and George spent years reading to the children at Lakeway Elementary School in Littleton, New Hampshire. When the pandemic hit and schools closed to volunteers, the Kirks were sad that they couldn’t continue this special story time. Thankfully, technology has saved the day!

Katy Curnyn, our innovative Marketing Director, had a wonderful thought: Why not tape the Kirks reading some of their favorite children’s books then post to the Internet? We are appreciate the Kirks’ willingness to try something new and that they welcomed us into the lovely independent living cottage to film.

The three stories available today are:

Gingerbread Man

Wynken, Blynken and Nod

Terrific

We hope you enjoy these fantastic children’s tales! Check back soon for more.
