Take a Walk for Alzheimer
Every September, more than 600 communities nationwide host the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This year the local walk will be held in Johnsbury, Vermont on Saturday, September 8th beginning at 10am. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
An important aspect of this walk is its ability to change the level of awareness in a community. To support that effort, the Morrison Communities have organized a team and have joined the walk. There is still time to get involved, visit www.alz.org to join the team or donate.
Every dollar raised benefits those affected by Alzheimer’s disease in your community. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising worldwide research initiatives, the money raised makes a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s.
The Morrison Communities encourages everyone to get involved, you can participate, donate or come cheer on the walkers. The walk will begin at 10am at the St Johnsbury Welcome Center, at 51 Depot Square in St Johnsbury, Vermont.
